Serving Roanoke

Reading Tutoring for Roanoke Families

Our center sits on Electric Road in Cave Spring, a short drive from every corner of Roanoke City. Families come to us from Grandin, Raleigh Court, South Roanoke, and Williamson Road, usually for the same reason: a bright kid, a reading gap, and a school year moving too fast to wait on.

What we know about reading in Roanoke City schools

Roanoke City Public Schools improved again on the 2025 state reading tests, and that progress is real. The division still finished roughly 20 percent below the state average, which means thousands of city students are carrying reading gaps into next year. RCPS teachers work hard with full classrooms. Our job is different: one assessment, one plan, and structured instruction twice a week until the gap closes.

Getting here from Roanoke

From downtown Roanoke, take Franklin Road to Route 419 and we are about 15 minutes away, right on Electric Road near the Tanglewood corridor. Plenty of parking, no meters.

Do you work with Roanoke City Public Schools students?

Every week. Bring any school documents you have, including VALLSS screening letters, Student Reading Plans, or IEPs, and we build our plan to work alongside what the school is doing.

Is the drive from Roanoke worth it?

Families think so, because sessions run twice a week and the instruction is fully structured around your child. If the drive is genuinely impossible, ask us about the at home Reading Membership.
