Building Your Foundation (2129 Electric Rd, Suite 205, Cave Spring, VA 24018) respects your family's privacy. This page explains what we collect through this website and what we do with it, in plain language, because that is how we do everything.

What we collect

  • Contact form. When you send a message we receive the name, email address, phone number, grade level, and message you type. We use it to respond to you and for nothing else.
  • Booking and payment. Appointments and purchases are processed by our scheduling and payment providers. Card details go to the payment processor directly and never touch this website.
  • Security checks. Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy first alternative to CAPTCHA that tells people apart from bots without making you solve puzzles. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, TLS fingerprint, user agent, and the site key for this website. When you press send, our server also passes your IP address to Cloudflare so it can confirm the check belongs to you. Cloudflare states these signals are collected only to detect bots, not to identify, profile, or target individuals, and we never use Turnstile for advertising. The details are in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to keep the site fast and secure. We also hold your IP address in memory for a few minutes after a form submission so that one visitor cannot flood us with messages.

Cookies and similar technology

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages get viewed and how people find us. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects usage data like device type, browser, pages viewed, and approximate location. It does not identify you, and its advertising features are not enabled. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings. We do not run advertising cookies on this site. Cloudflare Turnstile may store a short lived token in your browser while it runs its security check, and it is used for nothing but that check. Our scheduling and payment providers set their own cookies inside their booking and checkout screens, covered by their own policies.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • We do not run third party advertising trackers on this site.
  • We do not publish anything about your child, including photos or progress details, without your written permission.

Children

Our students are often children, but this website is meant for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect information from children online. Information about your child's reading is gathered in person, from you, as part of providing tutoring services.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep correspondence and student records only as long as needed to serve your family and meet ordinary business obligations. Want something deleted? Email info@buildingyourfoundation.com and we will take care of it.
